Arcade Fire - Ready to Start (2010)

I'd put this on a "drive to work playlist" and I can clearly remember setting off on the daily grind, whilst the sun was rising and it came on....  I probably repeated it 20 times that morning as I was hooked (I used to drive 1hr and 45mins each way) and whether it was the uplifting tempo, the sun shining or being half asleep... it made me buy all their back catalogue and I was finally 'ready to start' to give the Arcade Fire the attention that the critics had given them, but I, until that time, had not.

"...we're a happy bunch...."

I've got the Tuesday Blues, because Saturday is so far away.....

Great track...I think I have not given them the attention I believe they probaby deserve...aware of their biggies and all that....they are on the back burner playlist....by the way I miss these car journeys...best time to get into a whole album etc or maybe ironing

I agree this song is very uplifting. It's got a certain determination about it. I really love Arcade Fire's style, they've got some fantastic tracks. Looking forward to getting my new car, complete with ipod socket so I can finally make those drive to work playlists too!
