FAIRFIELD FOUR - Are You Ready (2003)

How about some Gospel ? I saw Dylan during his Gospel Phase in London 1981. It was one of the best Bob concerts I have seen.

Here are two different takes on Are You Ready from Saved (1980). The first one is by the Fairfield Four and you will find it on Gotta Serve Somebody: Gospel Songs of Bob Dylan (2003). The second one is by the Melbourne Mass Gospel Choir singing the Gospel Songs of Dylan. I believe it was in Melbourne in 2011.  If you like this one there are many more from the same concert available to watch on You tube.

Bob was certainly in good voice during that period. I saw Dylan in 1981 as well - Earls court Old Pa? I wonder how many times we've been at the same gig over the years?
I like both of these approaches to 'Are You Ready', stripped back accapella and the full blown gospel choir. Nice.

TS - Well that is 2 out of 2...I certainly have not seen Bob as much as you...I had tickets for Blacbush but missed it....I was going to head for the Isls of White but missed it....that is a story I will have to tell!

Blackbushe was my first Dylan show and was the day after my first Clash show. We need to hear that IOW story Old Pa!
