TRACKS OF THE WEEK 13/07/15 - Sleaford Mods, Widowspeak

Only two tracks this week! A beauty and a beast!

Flycasual:-
Widowspeak - 'All Yours' (2015)

Ex's are a tricky subject, particularly tedious when you're wandering around town or listening to old albums and everything reminds you of them, crap ain't it. But this is a gorgeous song which covers said subject and at least makes you feel like you're walking around in velvet pants whilst doing it. 'All Yours' is taken from the Brooklyn duo's latest album of the same name, which was out last month. Check out our guest post concert review from Emma back in 2011, here.

Old Pa's Corner :-
Sleaford Mods - Tarantula Deadly Cargo (2015)

Fresh from their success at this year's Glastonbury, here is a track from the Sleaford Mods new album Key Markets.  Flycasual introduced me to these guys last year and I was quite taken with there fresh attitude and original lyrics. Still trying to work out what the guy in the beard is meant to be doing but maybe that is the answer. Brilliant backing here too.

Looking forward to the album and I am just going to watch their set at Glastonbury right now.

Old Pa, brilliant track, these two are great. The guy in the beard is the beat maker/DJ. About like 'dirty' Pet Shop Boys in a way, as Chris Lowe never really did much in the videos.

I think these are 2 beauties actually! The Widowspeak actually turned my head at my Milf Party so much so I looked to see what it was mid conversation about weaning or something.
I like the 'dirty' PSBs too. Anything with accents is great!

Two absolute stonkers. I've heard 'All Yours' a couple of times, but nothing else by Widowspeak - I must put that right.
Sleaford Mods? They can do little wrong in my estimation. They were absolutely blistering when I saw them live in May. One of my gigs of the year so far.

FC - Shellhunter has played this a few times now and I still have to ask her who its by, so maybe it's not quite ingrained in me yet... I do like it however
OP - I've heard a few things by these guys including a guest appearance on the latest Prodigy album. I think they're a bit novelty however this has changed my mind a little as I really like it.

No clear winner this week, both good choices
