TRACKS OF THE WEEK
Flycasual:-
The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians with Damon Albarn - 'Out Of Time' (2016)
'When there is violence, you have to make music',,,The Orchestra of Syrian Musicians have defied airstrikes, snipers and the complexities of a seemingly never ending civil war to practice and perform their music. Damon Albarn helped arrange the orchestra's emotional sunmer tour of Europe last year which featured many guests from Paul Weller, Julia Holter and Rachid Taha to name a few. Last December saw an album release of highlights from the concert from which this fabulous rendition of the Blur classic was taken from.

SFW:-
Ryan Adams - Doomsday (2017)
I am both excited and nervous about Ryan Adams Prisoner (out Feb 17th). Will we get a Heartbreaker weapon of mass destruction or more of his Springsteen-smiths homage like his last self-titled release? (Ignoring his full album cover of Taylor Swifts 1989). Written around the time of his public divorce from Mandy Moore, he's been quoted saying that he put "..alot of extra work went into keeping my chin up and remembering what I did and what I loved about who I was."
Maybe a bit of both? I wasn't initially impressed by 2014's Ryan Adams, but in time it became my most played album of the last two years. What do I know?
Old Pa:-
Aaron Lee Tasjan - Memphis Rain
If it sounds country man and if it sound a bit like the Big O. Then it is ok with me. This is really good from someone new to me Aaron Lee Tasjan but I have listened to his new album and it just what the Tune Doctor order to rid this post holiday blues.

OP - Not bad at all
SFW. This is a wee bit overblown for me, but Ryan played an acoustic session for Lauren Laverne earlier this week that was bloody marvellous. Here's one of the tunes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04qmnyk
Old Pa. A new name to me as well. Good stuff.
Old Pa, I can see the Roy Orbison connection and this is good, the video is enjoyable too.
SFW - I have also never been blown away by him. This is okay, but I don't think I'd listen again
OP - Very Roy, and the best track of the 3 for me
