'Paul's Boutique' made me sit up and take notice though. I played it a lot and bought most of their subsequent albums, though my personal favourite is 'Hello Nasty'.The Swedehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13237251779370596904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29773053816846131.post-2542628314237482402014-09-05T11:08:20.500+01:002014-09-05T11:08:20.500+01:00Great choice...can't say I ever listened all t...Great choice...can't say I ever listened all the way 'thru...keep it going...it is great feature! With Licensed To Ill in mind, I remember buying this album with great anticipation and disliking it at first. It sounded, unlike any other Hip Hop album I'd heard and a far cry from their debut but the clever samples, witty and humorous lyrics won me over. My fledgling hip hop ears weren't expecting to hear anything quite so innovative (Look no further than B-Boy Bouillabaisse a 12 and a half minute melange of beats and rhymes) and ahead of it's time as Paul's Boutique and it finally grew on me in a big way. It is one of my top 5 Hip Hop albums fo sho', despite being distraught that the shop was entirely fictional. flycasualhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11216911927644223730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29773053816846131.post-59100099108629088622014-08-30T20:44:45.159+01:002014-08-30T20:44:45.159+01:00Mind bogglingly brilliant.Mind bogglingly brilliant.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
