Could this singer/songwriter be the saviour of Soul?
I've been mightily impressed with Michael Kiwanuka ever since I heard him sing "Tell Me A Tale" on a Communion Records CD and if I said he sounds like Bill Withers / Otis Redding with elements of Van Morrison would you be interested?
This 23yr old from London has the music critics claiming him to be the Next Big Thing, but do we need a(nother) Soul revival? Well if Kiwanuka is the torch bearer, I'd say a big yes! When his album comes out in March I'm willing to bet some money on him winning next years Brit Awards and we may find Soul firmly back in vogue - but please, no more Commitments movies!!!
