It is finally time to let this cat of the bag. Sydney's Matt Corby is a former runner up of the Australian Idol (when he was 16), but before you let that tarnish your opinion (music snobbery is a terrible thing!), you really need to listen to this guy. To pigeonhole him as just another singer-songwriter would be a huge disservice. "Buckley-meets-wild beasts-meets-gospel-meets-soul" - the list goes on-and-on. He has released a number of E.P.s (through the excellent Communion Records) and back in Australia he's won 'Song of the Year' for the song 'Brother'. Surprisingly, he still hasn't released a debut album, but then again all the best things are worth waiting for....
