TRACKS OF THE WEEK 21/06/15 - The Lone Bellow, Mbongwana Star, Stone Jack Jones
Three tracks that gave us a surprise...
Flycasual:-
Mbongwana Star - 'Shegue' (2015)
Mbongwana Star have really caught my attention recently, the former members of Kinshasa's Staff Benda Bilili have mixed the perfect splash of Dub, Electronica and Congolese Rhythms to create something quite unique of an album. Shegue, one of many highlights on the From Kinshasa album, is frantic, eerie and joyous all in equal measure and quite unlike anything I've ever heard before. Highly recommended.

The Lone Bellow - Take My Love (2015)
This caught my ear the other day. The Lone Bellow are a a Brooklyn-based trio whose self-titled debut was on the top 10 albums lists in 2013. As someone who occasionally turns up late for a party, I've only become aware of them due to their second album, Then Came the Morning.
It was Produced by The National's Aaron Dessner, who seems to be behind the desk for everyone.

Stone Jack Jones - Circumstance (2015)
This is from the album Love and Torture (2015), This is great - dark and moody stuff.
Short and sweet from Old Pa who is having PC problems.
Comments
Old Pa, dark and bizarre, just the way I like it.
