DYLAN COVERS #38 - Sinead O'Connor - 'The Times they are a Changin'/ I Believe in You/ Precious Angel'

SINEAD O'CONNOR - The Times they are a Changin' (Tonight Show 2010)

Sinead certainly caused a storm at the Dylan Tribute concert in 1992, there is no doubting she is a great fan and even says on the film, Dylan kept her alive in her younger days. I am sure most Dylan fans will have their own point of view regarding the incident.  In my opinion her beliefs in 'Child abuse' are admirable, but maybe the way she made that protest on the 'Tonight' programme prior to the concert was ill advised and did not help her cause. However I have to admire her courage.

SINEAD O'CONNOR - I Believe in you(Live at Royal Albert Hall 1999)

This is the song she was going to sing at the Dylan Tribute concert in 1992.

SINEAD O'CONNOR - Precious Angel

This is an interesting one, you will either love or hate it, on guitar is Justin McCarthy. I think it is..... OK!

Sinead has also contributed to the Amnesty Internation Album 'Chimes of Freedom' and sings 'Property of Jesus'
Pass me that guitar

Mental. Maybe that's OK, though. ;) If I was Bob, I'd keep out of her way.

Sinead O'Connor has sung some of my favourite tunes, albeit mostly through collaborations. A great voice. I couldn't open the first video but Precious Angel is my pick, gentle with only her and the acoustic guitar but pretty brutal lyrics. I Believe in You is another beautiful Dylan Song, certainly wedding friendly. Unless I'm missing a hidden meaning and it's actually about dogs.
