GERRY AND THE PACEMAKERS - You'll Never Walk Alone

There has not been too many great football songs if fact probably a lot more bad ones than good.
To me there is only really one great song and that is You'll Never Walk alone used by both Liverpool and Celtic. I believe Liverpool has the greater claim as the version of the song by Gerry and the Pacemakers were by the group who came from Mersey side.

If you do not already know the song is originally from the Musical Carousel. I have added the Pink Floyd song Fearless as they sample the Liverpool crowd singing the song at the end of the song. Great stuff.

Can Scotland qualify for the next big tournament?. They have a chance!. Here is my attempt for the next Scottish football song, Cliches included. Well it's better than Blue is the Colour. What do you think?. Could Rod be lead vocals.  I would prefer Tom Waits, I wonder if he would??

Go on Tom you can wear my kilt.

WHO WE ARE

All our boys of the Terrier Breed
We will not let them beat us Sister
Together we will sing songs of War
Songs of Love and Victory
Oh! Rosie, I'm sorry what I did to You
Can I call You when this is over

And we will remember who we are!

All our Lads who heed the call
Defeat is not an option Brother
All our hearts will beat as one
Our arms will be linked together
Oh! Rosie, all I think about is you
Can I call You when this is over

And we will remember who we are!

Tomorrow we go over the wall at six
These trenches are a hell Hole Mother
So much pain and smell of death
Nobody can ever win here
Oh! Rosie, I'm still in Love with you
Can I call You if I make it over

And we will remember who we are!

The Men they gathered from all around
And fought to save our Nation
Their Standard was a raging Lion
The colour they choose was blue
Oh! Rosie, lets raise a glass together
And toast our Heroes past and new

And we will remember who we are!

The game on the 13th June has suddenly taken on an extra significance now. It's good if a little strong/grim for a football song, with the trenches etc? Rosie anyone in particular?
