look at the clown
he’s playing the fool
they’re all laughing
the painted rouge
pretends to smile
they don't see behind his eyes

look at that girl
dressed to the nines
makeup is perfect
the white powder
hiding the lines

look at the Jester
jokes for the crowd
knowing the tricks
to win your heart
and take you in
