DYLAN COVER # 15 - Bruce Springsteen - Knocking on Heavens Door/Highway 61

There can only be one 'Boss'

Bruce Springsteen - 'Knocking on Heavens Door' (1995)

These two Gems are taken from a Live Concert on the 09-Jul-1995 at the Berlin Cafe Eckstein in Germany with Wolfgang Niedecken And His Leopardefellband.

Bruce Springsteen - 'Highway 61 Revisited' (1995)

Bruce has done some really great Bob covers, in fact he has been responsible for one of my favourite Dylan covers ever and I will feature it in a later Post, when I will  'Open up the gate for you'.  I bet all you 'Dylan freaks' out there can guess what it is ? If not you will have to wait patiently. In the meantime enjoy these two great performances, Bruce is on fire.

Bruce is never going to do a bad version of Dylan - too much taste. Why is he jamming with this German band? Seems unusual.

The German band are pretty tight but Das Wolfgang Niedecken and his Leopardfellband doesn't have the same ring to it as the E-Street Band. Nonetheless great version as you'd expect from Bruce. I maybe younger than you Dylan cats but my favourite version of 'Knockin' is Guns and Roses, if only for the memories. The Boss doing your fav Dylan cover..The Hurricane? Watchtower?

I´m not a fan of Wolfgang Niedecken but a big Springsteen-fan. I really like this cover.
