DYLAN COVERS #41 - Cold Chisel - Knocking on Heavens Door/Jimmy Barnes - Seven Days

COLD CHISEL - Knocking on Heaven's Door(1980)

Cold Chisel doing Knocking on Heaven's Door is up there with the Guns N' Roses version. What a great Aussie Band they were. If you are not familiar with their stuff, a greatest hits package will give you lots and lots of pleasure, see earlier post. There is an even better version of KOHD on their live album 'Swingshift(1981)' brilliant!.  This take is from a Concert at the Manly Vale Hotel Sydney in 1980.

JIMMY BARNES - Seven Days(1988)

Here we have Jimmy Barnes (lead singer of Cold Chisel) doing his solo thing. This is a track from his album  'Freight Train Heart' (1988) and is a ripping great version of Bob's 7 days and highlights all that is good about JB. I still think JB has one of the best voices in Rock music. Rock on Jimmy. 'Aussie Rules'
