The Chemical Brothers - 'Let Forever Be' (1999)
Sitting out in the sun listening to some old tunes has sparked many a memory. This track stands out as one of my favourite Chemical Brothers songs for many reasons. It features good ol' Noel Gallagher for a start, it has a superb drum beat and bass combo (up there in my top 5) and a video that totally hypnotises me with dance that turns to life! I had a flash back of hearing this song with very squinty eyes watching the rising sun, after being up listening to music all night with Old Pa and Flycasual!
Welcome! Welcome, to the conservatory! |
I remember well, when I really liked a song and I knew the feeling was mutual (one of them being this track I recall) I used to say "Right, get a fresh drink and get a cigarette ready (back when I used to smoke!). The excitement and anticipation of everyone's choices and reaction to mine was the best night out!

ReplyThanks C! Everyone should have a conservatory!
ReplyOh yes, I miss those music sessions, even Old Pa's 'shifters'....good memories. All that was the basis for this blog, I still get to hear what you lot listen to, minus the hangover and the bruises from falling off the stool! Great post, fantastic song. I loved Noel's collaborations with the Chemical Bros, Setting Sun....that's the one!! Beautiful noise!
